Milton Collins, 88, son of Charles Wesley and Daisy Mable (Replogle) Collins, was born July 1, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away March 5, 2014 in Cabool, Missouri.
Milton grew up in the St. Louis area and after his graduation from high school he joined the Army Air Corps. He was a B-24 pilot during World War II. He was involved in photo reconnaissance over the Pacific.
He married Eleanora Kemper June 7, 1960 and she preceded him in death January 8, 1991.
Milton and Eleanora moved to Lawrence, Kansas, in 1972 from Blue Springs, Missouri, and while there he was a businessman. When Eleanora died, he moved to Houston, Missouri.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Melvin Wesley, Charles Humphrey, Robert Lee, Harold Theodore and John William; and one sister, Mable Oleta Collins.
He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Mae Stanton, Barbara Jean Keeling and Charlotte Ann Spencer, and one brother, Donald Joe.
He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be Sunday, March 30, at 12:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Houston.
Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
