Alberta K. Carter, 91, died on July 1, 2013 in Branson, Missouri, where she had lived for the past five years. Prior to that, she lived in Cabool, Missouri.
Her husband, David Carter, preceded her in death.
“Bert” was active in church and community groups during the years she and Dave lived in Cabool. They were members of Cabool United Methodist Church, where Bert enjoyed serving in the women’s group. They owned and operated Cabool Fabric Shop and were members of the Chamber of Commerce. Bert served as Burdine Township tax collector for a time. She was a member of the Republican Women’s Club and enjoyed playing golf.
She is survived by a son, David K. Carter and wife Sharon of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Vicci Spicer and husband Gary of Branson, Missouri; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Riverside Cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri, where she will lie with her husband and other family members.
