Edwin Elmer Roberts, 83, of Elk Creek, Missouri, departed this earth to be with our Father on March 20, 2013.
He was born on July 24, 1929 in Texas County, Missouri, the son of Floyd and Elsie Roberts.
Edwin was known for his kind heart and his dedication to his family and his work. In his younger years he was a dairy and cattle farmer but most of his employment was with Brown Shoe Company where he retired after more than 30 years.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Randy Roberts; a sister, Shirley Wolf; a nephew, Ricky Wolf; and twin grandsons, Edwin and Dennis Means.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leona Viola Roberts; his daughters, Viola Crisp, Jennie Means and Alice Bauer; nine grandchildren, Richard, Carla, Carl, Jeremy, Sheila, Kirby, Shane, Tara and Shyanna; 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A few short words are not adequate to describe how much he meant to his family and all who knew him.
A visitation was held on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the funeral chapel. No services are planned at this time.
