Mary Winefred Ebert, 72, was born November 13, 1940 in Hammond, Indiana, to Wilford and Hazel (Williams) Decker. She passed away December 9, 2012 in Rocky Ridge Manor, Mansfield, Missouri.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Ebert; a son, Gary Ebert; two sisters, Wilma Marie Higginbotham and Sharon Kay Russell; a brother, Lindall Decker; and the family dog, Grizzley.
She is survived by her children, Dena Honig and husband Jon of Houston, Missouri, Arthur Ebert and wife Debbie of Cabool, Missouri, Brian Ebert of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and Ray “RJ” Ebert of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mary attended school in Licking, Missouri, at Mooney Hollow.
She married Ray Ebert July 4, 1959. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1994.
Mary loved to sew; she made many blankets for her children and grandkids. She also enjoyed painting, on canvas or cloth. Mary also loved to attend her children’s ballgames when they were young.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Mary Ebert Memorial Fund, c/o Evans Funeral Home, in lieu of floral arrangements.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, Houston. Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Villapiano and Pastor Cordie Wimberley officiating. Pallbearers are Marty Ebert, Dillon Ebert, Dustin Honig, AJ Ebert, Michael Ebert and Travis Ebert. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
