Betty Salisbury Winschell, 82

Betty Jean Salisbury Winschell, 82, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Bingham Memorial Extended Care and Skilled Nursing in Blackfoot.

She was born December 5, 1931 in Stultz, Missouri, the daughter of Woody Lee Salisbury and Susie Jane Fulk Salisbury.

Betty received her education in Cabool, Missouri, and had lived in Blackfoot, Idaho, since the age of 18.

In 1950 she married Wendell W. Gardner in Stultz, Missouri. She then married Keith Winschell on December 21, 1968 in Blackfoot, Idaho, and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Baptist Church as well.

She enjoyed the ranch life, family and making crafts.

Betty is survived by her children, Terry Gardner of Blackfoot, Idaho, Pam Gardner of Eugene, Oregon, Michael and Kay Gardner of Blackfoot, Paul Gardner of Pocatello, Idaho, Jay and Terri Gardner of Jerome, Idaho, Jeff and Debbie Gardner of Amarillo, Texas, and Beth Ann Winschell of Blackfoot; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Salisbury of Cabool, Missouri, and Yukon, Oklahoma, and a sister, Joyce Cullum Murdock of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith; a son, Berry Gardner; and two brothers, Bob and Bruce Salisbury.

A funeral service was held Monday, December 23, 2013, at Hawker Funeral Home, Blackfoot. Interment was in Grove City Cemetery, Blackfoot.
