Charles Franklin Miller, 82, of Seymour, Missouri and formerly of Cabool, Missouri, went to his heavenly home on November 1, 2011 at Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center in Crane, Missouri.
He was born on July 28, 1929 in Valentine, Nebraska, the son of Martin and Winifred (Camm) Miller.
Charlie moved from South Dakota to Cabool with his family when he was seven years old. He attended Cabool Schools where he excelled at and enjoyed football, graduating with the Class of 1947. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. He was a person with multiple abilities and occupations, including farming, heavy equipment operator and carpenter work.
He was united in marriage to Jeannette Lewis on December 12, 1975. They made their home in several places, from Springfield, Missouri, to Florida, then back to Cabool before settling in Seymour.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Frank and Mark; and a brother, Raymond.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette of the home; his daughter, Cheryl Altis and husband David of Forsyth, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren with one more on the way; his sister, Eloise Hemphill of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother, Gary Miller of Cabool; as well as several other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Graveside services were Monday, November 7, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Bob Martin officiating. Interment was in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
