Frances Harvey

Frances Ann (McGinness) Harvey, the daughter of Leonard J. and Grace W. (Sparks) McGinness, was born December 19, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She departed this life to be with her God and Savior on Monday, February 27, 2012, at the age of 76 years, two months and 18 days.

?She became a Christian at the age of 10 and has remained faithful to God her entire life.

On December 18, 1953 she was united in marriage to Paul A. Harvey and to this union were born three sons: David Paul, born October 13, 1954; Mark Allen, born April 15, 1958; and Daniel Lee, born May 9, 1959.

Frances and her family moved to the Vanzant, Missouri, area in 1968 and later to the Cabool area. She worked as a CNA at Kabul Nursing Home for several years.

She was a wonderful mother and friend to all. As long as her health permitted, she stayed active in church and community activities.

?Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Wanda; her brother, George; her husband, Paul; and one grandson, Shaun Harvey.

She is survived by her sons, David and Terri Harvey of Vanzant, Mark and Carla Harvey of Wichita, Kansas, and Daniel and Kathy Harvey of Cabool; eight grandchildren, Paulette, Kristopher, Michael, Jason, Angela, Brandi, Nathan and Jason; five great-grandchildren, Shane, Cheyenne, Cassidy, Cody and Adley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at the funeral chapel with Paul Whittier officiating. Pallbearers were David Harvey, Mark Harvey, Daniel Harvey, Jason Harvey, Ryan Maurer and Nathan Maurer. Interment was in Pine Flat Cemetery near Cabool, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
