Kendall “Joe” Reed, son of the late Donald Edward and Norma Gayle (Sanders) Reed, was born on May 30, 1964 in Cabool, Missouri, and left this life on September 28, 2011 at his residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, at the age of 47 years.
Joe grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Kiel Reed.
Joe is survived by one daughter, Kendra Collins and husband Chris and their son, Aiden, of Mtn. Grove; two sons, Jared Caston of Mtn. Grove and Adam Caston of Springfield, Missouri; three brothers, Don Reed and wife Linda of Norwood, Missouri, Jerry Reed and wife Joanne of Cabool, and Randy Reed and wife Gina of Mtn. Grove; two sisters, Teri Reed and Karen Reed, both of Springfield; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
His Lord, family, and friends he held dear and his kind nature and sense of humor rewarded him with the love of so many. He would do anything he could for anyone. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, floating, and fishing, naturally.
He loved music, listening, singing, and strumming the guitar and writing.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in Union Chapel #2 Cemetery near Mtn. Grove with Bro. Jerry England officiating. Song selections were “Only God Knows Why” and “Freebird.” Jerry England played the guitar and sang “Country Roads.” Burial was in Union Chapel #2 Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove.
