Allen Kyle Woolsey Johnson was born on August 29, 1991. He passed from this earth on Friday, April 23, 2010, after tragically taking his own life.
Kyle had a great love of the outdoors and nature. He was an avid deer hunter and would often sit in the country just to enjoy the tranquility. Kyle loved being a part of the building trades program at Cabool High School. He much preferred the hands-on work to his classroom studies, although he excelled at both when he put his mind to it.
Kyle never saw a stranger and was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He made friends quickly with a smile that would light up the room. He was always surrounded by classmates and friends, just hanging out or attending school events. Kyle had a great love for his family and he touched many lives, more than he could ever know.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Carla Johnson; a brother, Alex Johnson; and sisters Caitlyn, Savanna and Alexis Johnson. He is also survived by his biological parents and siblings, including Kayla, with whom he was especially close. In addition, Kyle is survived by a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins from the Johnson, Jarrett, Woolsey and Tharp families.
Allen Kyle Woolsey Johnson was loved by so many. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who were privileged to know him.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jarrett Cemetery, in care of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home, or to the Allen Kyle Johnson Memorial Fund established at Landmark Bank in Cabool.
Private family graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Jarrett Cemetery. Public memorial services were at 1:30 p.m. the same day at Cabool Christian Church under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
