Inez Mae Curry

Inez Mae Curry, 100, one month, and two days old, of Cabool, Missouri, departed this life on October 21, 2010 at Kabul Nursing Home.

She was born September 19, 1910 in Freedom, Oklahoma, to James A. and Mary Susie Sesler, the oldest of four children. Inez moved from Oklahoma with her family at the age of 19.

She was united in marriage to Luther Curry on July 5, 1930 and to this union five children were born, Donald, Edna, Arnold, Mable and Larry.

Luther preceded her in death on October 9, 1978, and she was also preceded by two sisters, one brother, one grandson and one great-granddaughter

She is survived by her three sons, Donald and wife Velvie of Cabool, Arnold and wife Berni of Houston, Missouri, and Larry and wife Anissia of North Carolina; two daughters, Mable and husband Bob Adkison of Cabool and Edna and husband Harry of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Inez was a charter member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church, established in 1928, a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Ladies’ Aid, and a member of the Eastern Star.

Inez had a long, beautiful life. God blessed the world with a special gift when He made her and she will be missed by her family and her many friends.

Memorial services were at 10:00 a.m. on October 23, 2010, at Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor David Carroll officiating. Special music was provided by the Mt. Pisgah choir and Neil Hamilton. Pallbearers were Dennis Adkison, Donald Curry, Phillip Curry, Tim Curry, Matt Richardson, and Phil Young.

Burial was in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
