Joyce Joan Tinsley, 69, of Republic, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born, the youngest of 12 children, December 13, 1940 in Byers, Kansas, the daughter of Eli and Margaret McClenahan.
Joyce and her family moved to Cabool, Missouri, when she was four years old. She was a graduate of Cabool High School. Joyce had been a resident of Republic 39 years. She was a cashier at the Wal-Mart in Republic for the past 11 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Margaret McClenahan; five brothers, Hall, Eli Jr., James, Perry, and Wayne McClenahan; and two sisters, Eunice Stambaugh and Alice Franklin.
She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Corporon and husband Andy of Kimberling City, Missouri, Tamyra Adams and husband Nick of Republic, and Jonella Thompson and husband David, of Verdigris, Oklahoma; a foster daughter, Robin Miller of Clever, Missouri; four sisters, Velma “Donnie” Shaw of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Elvira “Shorty” Brill of Cabool, Missouri, and Eva “Peggy” Clingerman and June Walburn, both of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Beth Murphy, Roger Miller, Drew Corporon, Beth Thompson, Donnie Coker, Micheal Adams, Shane Corporon, Megan Thompson, J.D. Thompson, and Dalton Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Cassie and Chase Murphy, Payton Corporon, Lydia Miller and Michael Clemens; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery, Cabool.
