Marilynn Francis Tickner, 65, of Cabool, Missouri, passed from this life to be with her Lord on July 18, 2010.
She was born on March 8, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Virgil and Mary Siegrist.
Marilynn loved to work in her yard and actively worked in Kirkwood Presbyterian Church’s Sunday school classes and child care. She was always busy and very creative. She loved to sew, making quilts or clothes and almost anything else she set her mind to create until an accident left her seriously handicapped at which time she moved to Cabool and made Kabul Nursing Home her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norman Siegrist.
Marilynn is survived by a son, John Tickner and wife Michelle of Pacific, Missouri; a daughter, Mary Hoots and husband Jody of Cabool; granddaughters Olivia Tickner and Audrey Hoots; and grandson Zachariah Hoots.
She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be missed.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Ararat Cemetery Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Pritchard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
