Mr. Randy Lyn Roberts, 50, of Elk Creek, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at his home.
He was born on June 2, 1959 at Cabool, Missouri, the son of Edwin and Leona (Neddleton) Roberts.
Randy was a one-of-a-kind special person. He had a great personality and a very strong, caring and giving heart. He would give his last dollar to a stranger and would always take someone in as his own if they needed a place to stay. He loved everyone and always looked at people from the heart and not appearance; everyone had good in them and deserved forgiveness and a chance to be the person they really were.
He loved his family as his most prized possession; he would call anyone family if they would let him. He always had a special way to make a person feel better when down, taking the time to listen to anyone’s problems and helping out the best he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed seeing people laugh and smile. He also enjoyed playing video games, remote control cars and planes, but most of all he treasured the time spent with his family.
Randy loved God, and that love gave him the strength and faith to keep him going even though physically he was very sick for many years.
He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Randy is survived by his parents, Edwin and Leona Roberts of Elk Creek; his wife, Karen of the home; two daughters, Terra Roberts and fiancé Abe Anderson of Nixa, Missouri, and Shyanna Bayless and husband Tim of Cabool; two grandchildren, Katie and Dominick Bayless of Cabool; three sisters, Viola Crisp of Lebanon, Missouri, Jennie Means of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and Alice Bauer of Cabool; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was on Sunday, February 7, 2010. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
