Charles Lee Aldridge, 65, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008, at his home.
He was born on August 25, 1943 at Cabool, the son of the late William Charles and Pearl (Crossland) Aldridge.Charles came to know the Lord at a young age.
He was united in marriage to Deborah Kay Combs on May 24, 1985.
He worked various jobs for a number of years: Ford Motor Company, a mechanic for the City of Cabool and Brown Shoe Factory. In 1986 he started his own business, C.L. Aldridge Electric, until 1995 when health problems forced him to retire.
Charles was a loving husband, son and father. He had a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Charles Aldridge and Pearl Aldridge Hale; a son, Charles Darin Aldridge; a sister, Marg Middleton; and a brother, Bobbie Aldridge.
Charles is survived by his wife, Deborah, of the home; a son, James Russell Hoyle, Jr; two daughters, Melissa Dawn Aldridge and Danneta Rae Aldridge; one brother, Bill Aldridge; three sisters, Connie Coffin, Donna Ayers and Jane Ratterree; and five grandchildren, Casper and Cody Aldridge and Chasity, Ethan and Haley Hoyle.
Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Cabool with Josh Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Dale Combs, Jim Brown, Danny Ratterree, Perry Ayers, Lonnie Roberts, Ronnie “Shorty” Shelly Jr. and David Kruse. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
