Donald L. White, 79, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away May 29, 2009 in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Don was born October 12, 1929 in Santa Cruz, California, the son of Roy and Nina White. He had lived 35 years in the state of Washington before moving to Missouri. He lived about 20 years in Cabool before moving to Hollister in 2000. He was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don is survived by his stepmother, Joyce White of California; one brother, Lloyd White of Tracy, California; two sisters, Marion Hawkey of Nevada and Alice May of Walla Walla, Washington; his stepchildren, James, Ken, Don, Val, Sandy, Joe, Lisa and Tracy; 22 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Georgia Hopper of Nixa, Missouri.
Funeral services were June 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Snapp-Bearden-Funeral Home, Branson, Missouri, with Rev. Floyd “Bud” Arnold and Rev. Wendell Crosswhite officiating. Burial was in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
