Freddie L. Brown

Mr. Freddie L. Brown, 57, of Cabool, Misouri, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009, at Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool.

He was born on February 7, 1951 in Douglas County, Missouri, the son of Fred and Mattie (Johnson) Brown.

He lived on his parents’ farm in Douglas County until going to the nursing home in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Some of his earlier hobbies included painting and mounting some of his own deer he had shot on the farm. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching them on TV and listening on the radio.

Freddie was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie, and his sister, Sheryl White.

He is survived by his father, Fred Brown of Cabool; his nephew, Brent White and wife Bobbie of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; his niece, Sheila Jenkins and husband Kevin of Cabool; several great-nephews, a great-niece and one great-great-nephew; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Brennan Bagwell officiating. Pallbearers were Adam Jenkins, Caleb Jenkins, Brandon Shannon, Gary McDaniel, Brennen White and Bryant White. Honorary pallbearers were Benjamin White and Curtis Jenkins. Interment was in Mt. Ararat Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
