Harriette H. Glazier, 80, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in Cox Medical Center-South, Springfield.
She was born August 20, 1929 in Cabool, Missouri, the youngest of three daughters of Harry and Florence (Key) Hubbard.
Harriette was united in marriage to Robert C. Glazier on June 5, 1949, and this past summer they celebrated their sixtieth anniversary.
Harriette spent a great deal of time as a child in her father’s drug store in Cabool. This no doubt influenced her career path later as an assistant pharmacist in Kirkwood, Missouri, and a pharmacy technician in Columbia, South Carolina. She also enjoyed a 29-year second career as a co-editor and publisher of Springfield! Magazine. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Glazier; sons Greg Glazier of Brighton, Colorado, and Jeff Glazier and his wife, Pat, of Rogersville, Missouri; grandson Justin Glazier and his wife, Mandy, of Ozark, Missouri; sister Florence Ehrenman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces Susan Johnson-Wells and her husband, Bill, of Waynesville, Missouri, and Annette Verel and her husband, Bob, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Springfield with Dr. Ron McIntire and Rev. Carol Ann Chilton officiating.
