Laura Faye Church, 72, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri.
She was born on December 11, 1936 near Cabool, the daughter of Tom and Mildred (Smith) Brown.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ellison Brown; a sister-in-law, Roberta Brown; and a brother-in-law, Coy Woodmansee.
She is survived by her four sons, Johnny Carr and wife Karan of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Jim Carr and wife Kathy of Cabool, and Terry and Randy Carr of Cabool; twelve grandchildren, Kim Montgomery, Missy Carr, Lyndsey Carr, Abby Carr and Travis Longwell, all of Cabool, Jeremy Carr of Chicago, Illinois, Ashley Carr and Amy Longwell of Springfield, Missouri, Patrick and David Carr of Houston, and Keysha Cantrell and Krystal Kelley of Mtn. Grove; ten great-grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Olivia Weller, Bennet Montgomery, Ethan and Morgan Longwell, all of Cabool, Mackenzie Carr of Houston, Alyssa Newmann and Alexis Carr of Springfield, and Makaya Kelley and Lane Cantrell of Mtn. Grove; her brothers and sisters, Roy Brown and wife Loretta, Wanda Woodmansee, and Lavaughn and Gene Hale, all of Cabool, and Buster Brown of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Laura was an independent person who never liked to bother others for help. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Shelley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
