Linda Fay Carignan, 64, of Houston, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009, at her home.
She was born on January 29, 1944 in Graff, Missouri, the daughter of Andrew and Dovie (Boykin) Lawson.
Linda opened her home and her heart to many during her time on this earth. Always ready with a warm bed and a hot meal, she was often referred to as simply “Ma.” To say that she will be missed is a terrible understatement. She made the world a brighter and better place each day the sun greeted her smiling face.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Sherry and Vincent Lowther; two brothers, Gerald and Harold Lawson; and two sisters, Ila Virtue and Juanita Sagik.
Linda is survived by her husband, Don Carignan of the home; her children, Heather Dawn Montgomery, Eva Marie Hebblethwaite and Wesley Kent Lowther; her grandchildren, Aaron Hebblethwaite, Ashley Hebblethwaite, Cameron Carignan, Gideon Carignan and Belinda Shackelford; one great-grandchild, Aralyn Dee; and six brothers and sisters, Charlene Knox, Huey Lawson, Tom Lawson, Velma Knox, Charles Lawson and Ben Lawson.
Services were at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009, in the funeral home chapel under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.
