Charles Warren Johnson, 63, of Hutton Valley, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008, at his home.
He was born on September 2, 1944 in Ellington, Missouri, the son of Warren Omer and Imo Jane (Collins) Johnson.
Charles was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Harmon on September 2, 1965 at the home of the Rev. Roy Sorrell in Caldwell, Idaho. To this union two daughters were born, Deborah Ann and Anna Marie. The Johnsons owned and operated the Lonesome Pine Dairy for a number of years until retiring.
He was also known by family and friends by his nickname, Bozo. He loved to hunt, fish, travel and spend time with his neighbors and grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Adrain Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the family home; two daughters, Deborah Ann Kraft and husband Chris of West Plains, Missouri, and Anna Marie Mayberry and husband Shane of Hutton Valley; five grandchildren, Justin Kraft, Jared Kraft, Dakota Mayberry, Ethan Mayberry and Samantha Mayberry; one brother, William “Bill” Johnson and wife Emma; one niece, Rene Johnson; one nephew, Wayne Johnson and wife Stacey and their daughter, Jordan and son, Cole; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at CrossWay Fellowship Church in Willow Springs, Missouri, with Stanley Collins officiating. Pallbearers were David Modranski, Wayne Johnson, Shane Mayberry, Dakota Mayberry, Chris Kraft and Justin Kraft. Honorary pallbearer was his brother, William “Bill” Johnson. Interment was in Willow Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.
