James Edwin Hutsell

James Edwin Hutsell, 69, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at his home after a long illness.

He was born on December 25, 1938 at Dunn, Missouri, the son of the late Harry E. and Marie K. (Robinson) Hutsell.

Jim graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1956 and went to work on a milk route.

In 1959 he was united in marriage to Sharon Furrow, and to this union four children were born.

He was a very hard worker; he owned and operated Hutsell Roofing for a number of years until retirement in 1988.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, He also spent a lot of time going to flea markets and auctions.

Jim rededicated his life in 2000 and loved attending Faith Community Church of the Nazarene. In 2002 he went on a mission trip to Africa to help build a church; he dedicated a lot of time and work to be able to raise the money to go on the trip.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Jennifer Lynn; and an infant granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; two sons, James Lee Hutsell and Kevin Hutsell and wife Kathy, all of Mtn. Grove; his daughter, Melissa Gaye Hutsell of Mtn. Grove; seven grandchildren, James Lee Hutsell, Jr., Jeffrey Daniel Smith, Corey Jacob Smith, Dakota Mack McQueary, Katrina Faire Hutsell, Mariah Jordan Hutsell and Jennifer Faith Hutsell; two brothers, Everett Hutsell of Livonia, Michigan, and Donald Hutsell of Mtn. Grove; as well as numerous other relatives, friends and his church family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Memorial services were held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2008, at Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Mtn. Grove. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.

    Today my grandpa was joined in heaven with his loving wife Sharon. She’s missed him so much since he’s been gone. While I can’t help but to be sad she’s gone, I’m so happy the two of them will be reunited. I love you both so much.
