He was born on May 5, 1930 in Long Branch, New Jersey, the son of Frank R. and Mildred (Perdunn) Dearing.
Jay enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country until receiving his discharge with the rank of sergeant. He spent a number of years as a truck driver and also owned his own commercial cleaning service.
Jay is survived by his sons, Jay C. Dearing, Jr. and James L. Dearing; his daughter, Cindy Worrall; a stepdaughter, Rhea Conklin; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Rob and Shannon Bowling. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
