Jeanie Marie Ice

Jeanie Marie Ice, 35, daughter of Ronald and Betty (Brinkley) Ice, was born September 22, 1976 in Houston, Missouri. She departed this life on November 16, 2011 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

Jeanie was preceded in death by a grandfather, Elmer Ice; a grandmother, Ruby (Brinkley) Barr; and a step-grandmother, Marie Brinkley.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashlynn; her parents, Ronald and Betty (Brinkley) Ice; one brother, Clinton, wife Jessica and daughters Karley, McKayla, and Billie of Mtn. Home, Arkansas; her grandfather, Elvis Brinkley; her grandmother, Fay (McKinney) Ice; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.

Jeanie grew up and attended school in Mtn. Home, Arkansas, graduating in 1994. She enlisted in the United States Navy, serving her country for three years. After discharge from the Navy, she attended the Missouri State Sheriff’s Academy and worked in various law enforcement agencies within ten years including the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department of Mtn. Home, Arkansas, the West Plains Police Department, the Howell County Sheriff’s Department, and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.

Jeanie was baptized into Christ at an early age by her father, Ron, and attended College & North Church of Christ of Mtn. Home, Arkansas, and most recently Ozark Baptist Church of Houston, Missouri. She committed her life to God and teaching her daughter and others of Him.

She had many interests including music, flowers, hunting, and photography. She also loved her work. Most of all she loved being a mother to Ashlynn and teaching her to love the Lord.

Jeanie was always full of life and laughter. She was loved by all her family and many friends, as she loved them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services with full military honors were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Ozark Cemetery with Rev. Bill Jetton and Rev. John Wisdom officiating. Pallbearers were David Branson, Red Booker, Paden Hendricks, Trae Henderson, Darren Ice, Mike Beasley and Julius Fraley. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
