ET1 (SW) Nathaniel Jeremiah Williams, 34, of Cabool, Missouri, who was residing in Hope Mills, North Carolina, passed from this life on February 13, 2014. Nathaniel was serving in the United States Navy and was assigned to Joint Communications Unit in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Nathaniel was born in Groton, Connecticut, on September 20, 1979. Nathaniel was the son of Deb and Chip Williams of Cabool. He was the brother of Nathan Williams and wife Ryoko of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Shannon Williams of Carrollton, Texas, and the uncle of Gouki and Nako Williams of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Nathaniel was known by several nicknames — Nate, Duck and Pitt were just a few. No matter what name you knew him by, he was such a great man. He was a warm-hearted, quick-witted, caring individual who lit up this world with love and kindness for everyone he crossed paths with. Nathaniel will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Cabool Christian Church with Dennis Adkison officiating. Pallbearers will be MSgt. Kyle Roscoe, Chip Williams, Nathan Williams, Carey Sigman, Darrell Thornton and Will Matney. Honorary pallbearer is Gouki Williams. Interment with full military honors will be in Providence Cemetery near Cabool, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
