Mr. Warren Edward Sweet, 78, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on January 1, 2010 at home after a brief illness.
He was born on August 29, 1931, the son of Marion and Grace (Wall) Sweet. He grew up in the Cabool area with his eight siblings.
Warren lived in the Cabool area his entire life except for time spent in the U.S. Army.
On November 15, 1952 he was united in marriage to Betty Dotson, and to this union six children were born. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but he especially enjoyed coon hunting.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty on June 23, 2007; a son, Jeffery at the age of 6; twin girls at birth; four sisters, Norma Coner, Carolyn Burnett, Marilyn Bovard and Alice Williams; and a brother, John Sweet.
He is survived by his son, Charles Sweet; two daughters, Ronda Crewse and Mary Lynn Babb; nine grandchildren, Jeffery, Kammie, Amber, Susan, Karen, Joshua, Devin, Grace and Rachael; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives, friends and adopted children that knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at Pea Ridge Community Center with Rodney Crewse officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
