William M. “Bill” Jackson was born August 25, 1938 in Zach, Arkansas, and departed this life surrounded by family on July 18, 2013 in Cabool, Missouri.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He served this country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and had lots of hobbies, such as woodworking and dominoes. He really loved being around family and friends.
He leaves behind his wife, Phyliss Jackson; son Jeff and wife Deana Jackson; daughter Debra and husband Ron Farr; stepdaughter Gina and husband Lance William; two stepsons, Elvin and Buck Corter; his grandchildren, Dallas and Christina McColgin and family, Gina and Donny Schamber and family, Trina and Matt Morgan and family, Tim Jackson and Courtney, Amber and Jon Calder and family, and Kaylee Wheeler; ten great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; brothers Snowball Jackson and Delbert McCormick; sisters Rossetta Sherill, Mildred Keene, Marie Mauzy, Marlene Pace and Judy Turley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chepas and Mary; his first wife, Linda Jackson, and their daughter, Mary Leota; five brothers, E.J. and Buddy Jackson and Leon, Jack and Charles McCormick; and three sisters, Donna Blackwell, Mildred Harris and Janet King.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held August 24, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Ron and Debra Farr. All family and friends are invited to attend.
