Terry Lynn Parker

Terry Lynn Parker, 60, of Theodosia, Missouri, and formerly of Elk Creek, Missouri, passed away November 13, 2008 at his home.

He was born on May 11, 1948 in Fredericksburg, Texas, the son of Kenneth C. and Helen June (Bode) Parker.

Terry attended and graduated from Cabool High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

On May 1, 1987 he was united in marriage to Sharon Watson in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was a truck driver and rancher in the Elk Creek area for a number of years. He enjoyed being with his family and spending time at the lake, boating and fishing. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed telling stories and helping others. He attended Dugginville Community Church.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; one daughter, Tami Lyons and husband Mike of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Kenneth Randall Parker of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; four stepchildren, Chuck Watson and wife Railene of Macomb, Missouri, Mike Watson and wife Heather of Paris, Missouri, John Watson of Lees Summit, Missouri, and Memory Chandler and husband Alan of Lynn Center, Illinois; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three uncles; many cousins; and a special little friend, Ryan Merriman.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at the funeral home with Tom Cantrell officiating. Music was provided by Maria Cantrell, Ryan Merriman and Shaine Merriman. Pallbearers were Bill Rhinehart, Charles Watson, Jr., Mike Watson, John Watson, Joshua Watson and Matthew Watson. Honorary pallbearers were Les Hines and Macy Jett. Interment with full military honors was in Steely Chapel Cemetery at Elk Creek, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.

The family requests that memorials be given to Steely Chapel Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
