Wilford Lavene Graham, 91, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away October 27, 2008 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri.
Wilford was born on February 28, 1917, the son of Floyd Winfield and Vinettie (Fielden) Graham of Hamilton Creek, Missouri.
Wilford served in the Army during World War II in the Philippines, earning a Bronze Star. He spent the remainder of his life on the family farm near Cabool. He was known to all as a hard-working, honest man. He will be missed by his wife, children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters, and a wife, Cordelia Margraves Graham. In 1948, Wilford and wife Pauline lost Wilford L., Jr., a son of two years and three months.
Wilford is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Kelly Graham of the home; his children, Lorene and Wilbur Brill of Republic, Missouri, Gene and Charles Garrison of Monett, Missouri, Rose Irene and Charles Allen of Norwood, Missouri, Linda and Dennis Gebeke of Spokane, Washington, Sally Norman of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Floyd and Judy Graham of Mtn. View, Missouri, Claude and Kathy Graham of Cabool, Delia Honniball of Castro Valley, California, David and Brenda Graham of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Charles and Tammy Graham of Cabool, Edna and David Woolard of Cabool, and Glenn Graham of Cabool; 42 grandchildren; 66 great- and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the funeral home chapel. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Bill Maggard, Brian Graham, Andy Graham, Kelly Gordon, Vaughn Graham and Tom Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Brill, Charles Marks, Micheal Loman and Ethan Graham. Interment was in Jarrett Cemetery near Cabool under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
