Delmar grew up in the Huggins area and attended school at Plato. He worked for many years in construction. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was united in marriage to Wilma Sherman on February 14, 1987 in Oak Grove, Missouri. Delmar enjoyed spending time with his wife, Wilma, on their farm in Fristoe.
Besides his parents, Delmar was preceded in death by two sisters, Elethia Nadine McCoy and Alma Louise Rust, and one brother, William Francis Hutsell.
Delmar is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Wilma Hutsell of the home; three sons, Paul Greenway and wife Ann Marie of Kirbyville, Missouri, Scott Greenway of Oak Grove, Missouri, and Brian Greenway and wife Ladonna of Oak Grove; three daughters, Milissa Pierce and husband Vincent of Cabool, Missouri, Erin Medina and husband Manuel of Independence, Missouri, and Lori Greenway of Oak Grove; three sisters, Ruby Crewse of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, Nina Prock of Mountain Grove, Missouri, June Hancock and husband Jerry of Ellis Prairie, Missouri, and Beulah Kaske and husband Richard of Booneville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in Craig-Hurtt Chapel, Mountain Grove, with Rev. Jerry Ward officiating. Song selections were “Peace In The Valley,” “Amazing Grace,” “Serenaded By Angels,” and “If You Get There Before I Do.” Paul Greenway, Scott Greenway, Brian Greenway, Jeff Butler, Storm Greenway, and Vince Pierce served as pallbearers. Burial was in Number One Cemetery, Huggins, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
