David L. Schwartzkopf

David L. Schwartzkopf, son of Lawrence and Harrie (Foss) Schwartzkopf, was born September 19, 1949 at Casper, Wyoming. He passed away at his home in Elk Creek, Missouri, Friday, October 17, 2014, at the age of 65.

David grew up around Yellowstone National Park and was raised on a ranch in Glen Rock, Wyoming.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Larry Schwartzkopf.

David is survived by his wife, Pam Riegel of the home in Elk Creek;, his two daughters, Heather Decker of Cabool, Missouri, and Teresa Schwartzkopf of Dallas, Texas; a stepson, Frank Riegel of Grifton, North Carolina; a stepdaughter, Deb McQueen of Garden City, Kansas; a sister, Penny Gannon; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grand children.

David served his country in the United States Army from 1967 until 1984. He worked as a construction supervisor all over the United States.

He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and watching NASCAR. David was a faithful member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.

Mr. Schwartzkopf was cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date.
