Stephen John Kusior, Jr.

Stephen John Kusior, Jr., son of the late Stephen Sr. and Jean (Scheffler) Kusior, was born on October 4, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and passed away on November 14, 2014 at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at 77 years of age.

Stephen was raised in Iselin, New Jersey, and graduated high school from St. Francis Catholic School in 1954. After high school, Stephen joined the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1960.

Stephen retired from Allied Chemical in 1989. He married Lorraine Gochal on April 16, 1992 in Woodbridge, New Jersey. They moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Stephen became a full-time farmer.

One of the greatest joys of Stephen’s life was time spent with his family, especially his grandkids. He greatly enjoyed cooking for his family. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved farming, hunting, and fishing.

Besides his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kusior.

He is survived by his loving wife of their home, Lorraine Kusior; one son, Stephen Kusior and wife Debbie of Hampton, New Jersey; four daughters, Lisa Scoble and husband Eric of Key Largo, Florida, Rosalie Gasperson and husband Daniel of Springfield, Missouri, Joy Beeler and husband Joshua of Mountain Grove, and Elaine Kusior of Milan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Stephen Kusior, Christine Kusior, Dylan Scoble, Bryce Beeler, and Brody Beeler; one great-grandchild, Levi Stephen Kusior; and many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cabool, Missouri, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul Wightman and Dean Joe Kurtenbach officiating. Song selections were “We Walk By Faith,” “Eyes Have Not Seen,” and “Though The Mountains May Fall,” rendered by Alice O’Connor. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Mountain Grove.
