Ethel is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Eddie Altis.
She attended school at Oak Grove and later graduated from Cabool High School with the class of 1953. Ethel married Leroy Cole on February 6, 1955 at Providence Free Will Baptist Church, Cabool, MO.
Ethel worked at Brown Shoe Factory for many years until it shut down. She attended school to be a Med-Tech and worked in Kabul, Willow Springs and Licking Nursing Homes.
Ethel is survived by her husband of sixty years, Leroy of the home in Houston, MO, two daughters, Becky Collins and husband Rick of Houston, MO, Irene Massey and husband Troy of Houston, MO; two sons, Jimmy Cole and wife Teresa of Success, MO and Terry Cole of Wayne, OK; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
She loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking for her family and decorating for every holiday, but her greatest joy was getting together with her family.
Ethel was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was always looking for ways to help her family and friends and felt God had given her each day to enjoy life and help others. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that she is enjoying the beauty of Heaven and is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
