George was preceded in death by his parents, eleven sisters and one brother.
He is survived by one sister, Lena (McCoy) Ward of Success, MO; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
George grew up and lived his entire life near Success until he moved to the nursing home. He attended school at a one room school, named Dunn just east of Success. He never married, remaining at home, caring for his parents. This enabled them to stay in their home until their passing.
In his younger days he had dairy cows, later changing to beef cattle.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He was very good at riding and training horses.
He also had a Honda 4×4 ATV automatic Foreman Rubicon that he enjoyed riding on the old trails in the Mark Twain Forest.
He accepted the Lord several years ago and attended the Success Baptist Church when he was able.
George made many friends over his life time. He became very close to his caregivers at the Kabul Nursing Home, where he spent his last 14 months.
He will be missed by family and friends made throughout the years.
