Susan Rosemary (Aldridge) Mooney

Susan Rosemary (Aldridge) Mooney was born on April 22, 1958 in Cabool, Missouri, the daughter of Oral and Audrey (Nichols) Aldridge. She departed this life on July 7, 2015 at the age of 57 in her home at Tyrone, Missouri, surrounded by her loving, devoted family and close friends.

Rosemary attended Tyrone School and then graduated from Summersville High School in 1976. She resided most of her life in Tyrone.

She married Bill Mooney in 1990, and to this union one daughter was born, Lestal Shalea Mooney.

Rosemary was baptized at Tyrone in 1998 at the age of 40 and was a member of Tyrone Free Will Baptist Church.

She loved the outdoors. She found enjoyment in her yard work in the summer and treasured time spent with family and friends.

Rosemary worked at Paramount Headwear, Angelica, Pineview Christian Home, Town and Country, and Shriver Cabinets until becoming disabled in 2009. She showed great courage and determination during her battle of cancer and always had a smile and hug for those she saw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oral and Audrey Aldridge, and three brothers, Danny Joe Aldridge of Tyrone, Garold Dee and wife Julie Aldridge of Tyrone, and Harold Wayne and wife Janell Aldridge of Tyrone.

She is survived by her daughter and husband, Shalea Mooney and Brandon Campbell of Tyrone; her sisters, Jean McAlister and husband Johnny of Piedmont, Missouri, Patty Aldridge of Tyrone, and Anette Hartman and husband Brian of Summersville, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Cyndi Flanagan and husband Dale of Cabool and Nancy Foster and husband Don of Tyrone; six nieces; five nephews; many cousins; a host of family; best friends Deb, Bren and Lesa; and numerous other friends that will miss her dearly.

The family respectfully suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Rosemary (Aldridge) Mooney Memorial Fund, c/o Evans Funeral Home.

Services were held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home with Melvin Williams officiating. Burial was in Tyrone Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Stetson Taylor, Lucas McComas, Dennis Lynch, David Bane, Jamie McAlister and Trenton Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Walker and Bill Mooney.
