Thomas Dwain Harrison

Thomas Dwain Harrison, age 83, son of Jesse and Oma (Smith) Harrison, was born October 12, 1931 at Bado, Missouri. He passed away on July 22, 2015 at Licking Park Manor, Licking, Missouri.

Dwain married Anna L. Panetta on April 18, 1953. They had six children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna; his parents; seven sisters, Marcella, Maxie, Margie, Marva, Mavis, Arla and Ruth; and a brother, Dale.

He is survived by his children, Nina Wake and husband James of Cabool, Missouri, Roger Harrison of West Plains, Missouri, Deborah McKee and husband Frank of Licking, Colleen Kirkman and husband Mike of Summersville, Missouri, Jess Harrison of St. Louis, Missouri, and Dawn Stroup and husband Wayne of Licking; twenty-one grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dwain served six years in the Air Force before marrying Anna and lived eight years in Baltimore, Maryland, working at Westinghouse. They moved back to Missouri in 1961 and bought a farm. He continued to work in St. Louis until he retired in 1993.

He loved working and tinkering with farm machinery and raising various animals over the years.
He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.

Services were Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Evans Funeral Home, Houston, Missouri. Pastor David Barbee officiated with burial in Union Cemetery, Cabool. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jared Kirkman, Jordan Kirkman, Buster McKee, Chad Smith, Cody Smith and Cory Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Harrison, Gabe Driskill, Tanner Barnes and Cole Kirkman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Union Cemetery.
