Cindy Fae Bock

Cindy Fae Bock, daughter of Billie Uppinghouse and the late Roy Uppinghouse, was born on September 28, 1955 in Quincy, Illinois, and departed this life on August 26, 2016 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was 60 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age.

Cindy grew up in Adams County and attended school in Payson, Illinois. She moved to Texas and married Robert Bock on December 13, 1985. Together they raised two children, Troy and Crystal.

Cindy worked at various factories throughout the years. She also enjoyed being a homemaker. Her hobbies included making crafts and quilts, sewing, and wood crafting. She especially loved time spent with family. Prior to her illness, Cindy attended New Rock Springs Church and enjoyed her church family very much.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bock, and her father, Roy Uppinghouse.

She is survived by her mother, Billie Uppinghouse of Mountain Grove, Missouri: her son, Troy Smith of Cabool, Missouri; her daughter, Crystal Kennedy and husband Charles of Mountain Grove; three brothers, Rodney Uppinghouse and wife Kathy of Burton, Illinois, Tim Uppinghouse and wife Nancy of Quincy, Illinois, and Jeff Uppinghouse of Hoopston, Illinois; one sister, Peggy Uppinghouse and Rich Epperson of New London, Missouri; two grandchildren, Dalton and Colton Kennedy; and many other family and friends who will miss her greatly.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Graveside services followed at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Dowden officiating.
