Kenneth Nester Polm

Kenneth Nester Polm, son of the late Wayne Anson, Sr. and Edna Louise (Searchfield) Polm, was born on August 18, 1953 in Sayre, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on October 11, 2016 in Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri, after a long battle with cancer. He was 63 years, one month, and 23 days of age.

He grew up in Cabool, Missouri, and worked at many different jobs throughout his life until he became apartment manager at Townhouse Apartments in Mountain Grove nine years ago. He made many friends while managing the apartments and loved everything about the job. He always tried to bring joy and laughter in everything he did. He especially loved to have Santa Claus visit the children and their parents every Christmas. Sadly, he was forced to retire a couple of months ago because of his health.

Kenny was part of the Almost Home Church family in Mountain Grove for many years. He completely gave his life to Jesus and lived it every day. Recently he began a new church family with Cornerstone Church. Kenny greatly enjoyed going to church and spending time with his church family.

He also enjoyed going to yard sales and visiting with others. He had a special place in his heart for children and always made time for them.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Edna Polm, and by a sister, Renie Howe.

He is survived by two brothers, Wayne Polm, Jr. of Cabool and Bill Polm and wife Mary Ann of Cabool; one sister, Debbie Conway of Mountain Grove; his stepson, David Bates of Bedford, Ohio; his stepdaughter, Tina Hanson, and his granddaughter, Angel Adams, both of Cabool; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

There are no services planned. Mr. Polm was cremated under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
