Carolyn Sue (West) Watson

Carolyn Sue (West) Watson, 70, of Cabool, Missouri, was born on February 18, 1946 the daughter of Roy Van and Violet Claudine (Fulk) West. She departed this life on November 1, 2016 after a short battle with cancer and joined her Lord and Savior, family and friends.

Carolyn gave her heart to Christ at an early age and was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church for many years. On February 14, 1976 she was united in marriage to James Edward Watson and they were blessed with a son, Shaun Edward Watson. She was a very devoted, loving mother and always put Shaun’s needs first.

She was employed at Producers Creamery (Mid America Dairymen and Dairy Farmers of America) for eight years, then at Rawlings Sporting Goods for five years before returning to DFA to complete 46 years-plus of service and many hours making sure the milk department ran smoothly.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Shaun Edward and wife Kimberly Sue (Williams) Watson; three grandchildren, Meagan Nicole, Makalah Sue and Westlee Edward; special cousins, Glen and Jenny McKinney; special neighbors, Danny and Debbie Cannon; special friends, Glen and Susie Williams, Gordon Thompson and Pat Bethurem whom she thought of as a sister. Her family was her pride and joy.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016, at Cabool First Baptist Church with Brad Wallace and Benjamin Leonard officiating. Pallbearers were Todd Bledsoe, Andy Knapp, Kent Rust, Dale Flanagan, Aaron Haddock and Kenny McCarty. Interment was in Ozark Cemetery near Houston, Missouri, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
