Bonnie Jean (Babbitt) Lozano

Bonnie Jean (Babbitt) Lozano, 78, Springfield, Missouri, passed from this earthly life to go to her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 15, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born on January 22, 1938 in Texas County, Missouri, the daughter of Loren Harold and Evelyn Madelene (Mead) Babbitt.

Bonnie attended school at Rocky Branch and graduated from Houston High School in 1957. She professed her faith in the Lord at a young age and held fast to her beliefs until her passing.

On October 21, 1960 she was united in marriage to Wayne L. Chastain. To this union two daughters were born.

Bonnie worked at the shoe factory in Cabool for many years and as a CNA at Kabul Nursing Home for 15 years before moving to Springfield to be closer to her daughters. She then worked at St. John’s Hospital until she retired.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Arlynda L. Beuterbaugh and husband Jerry of Springfield and Leslie L. Rose and husband James of Rogersville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Loren D. Rose of Ozark, Missouri, and Michaela J. Rose of Rogersville; a brother, Kenneth Babbitt of Republic; a sister, Grace Butts and husband Elster of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; and a host of friends and relatives.

A visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. The funeral service was at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Providence Free Will Baptist Church in Cabool with Brother Don Anderson officiating, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial followed at Providence Cemetery.
