Rosemary (Hicks) McIntosh

Rosemary McIntosh, daughter of Effie (Berry) Hicks and the late Floyd Hicks, was born on October 20, 1962 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and passed away March 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was 54 years, four months, and ten days of age.

Rosemary was raised in Mountain Grove and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1980. She married Willie McIntosh on July 26, 1980. Two children were born to this union: Michael and Jennifer.

Rosemary was a hairdresser in Mountain Grove for many years. She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and traveling on the truck with Willie. She also enjoyed reading, cake decorating, and doing craft projects. She loved spending time with her grandkids.  Rosemary was recently saved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Hicks.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of their home, Willie, her son, Michael McIntosh and wife Kelly, and her daughter, Jennifer McIntosh, all of Mountain Grove; her mother, Effie Hicks of Mountain Grove; two brothers, William Hicks and wife Londa and Carl Hicks, all of Mountain Grove; four sisters, Janice Croney and husband Stan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Joanne Estes and husband Tony of Cabool, Missouri, Pauline Stanley and husband Bubba of Mountain Grove, and Margaret Miller and husband Tom of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Michael McIntosh, Jr., Adam Parsons, Mason McIntosh, Mikey Parsons, Hailey Parsons, Marissa McIntosh, Alyssa McIntosh, and Mashayla Birky; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in Craig-Hurtt Chapel with David Mathis officiating. Song selections were “The Dance” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Vocal selection was “Roses Will Bloom Again” rendered by Teresa Perkins. Serving as pallbearers were Michael McIntosh, Sr., Michael McIntosh, Jr., Adam Parsons, Mason McIntosh, Mikey Parsons, Steven McIntosh, Matt Gunter, and Chris Driskell. Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
