She was born in Fairmount, Indiana, on May 19, 1934 and married Howard L. Hiler on September 16, 1950. They had four children: Dale, Bill, Norman, and Patty. Patricia spent half of her life in Grant, Michigan, and then moved to Sterling, Alaska, in 1973. Recently, she and her husband joined the Elk Creek, Missouri, community part-time.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Fran Leverich and Betty Addison; and her great-granddaughter, Brianna Saul.
Surviving are her husband, Howard of the home; children, Dale Hiler and wife Londa of Houston, Missouri, and Bill Hiler and wife Sandy, Norman Hiler and wife Belinda and Patty Gename, all of Alaska; and ten grandchildren.
Her hobbies were singing harmony, painting, photography and, in her younger years, scuba diving.
She will be missed greatly by those who loved her.
The family suggests donations to Elk Creek Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
Services were held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Elk Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Tyrone Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Dale Hiler, Bill Hiler, Norman Hiler, David Hiler, Michael Hiler and Londa Walsh. Honorary pallbearers were Denise Saul and Adrienne Hallett.
