He was born on September 19, 1934 in Solo, Missouri, the only son of Archie and Fern (Smith) Hamilton.
Bill grew up in the Solo area and attended Houston and Cabool schools and was a member of the New Hope Church at Solo after being saved at a young age.

He worked many jobs with the public, driving school buses, a gas truck, and an ambulance and was a rural mail carrier until his retirement in 1996. At that point he started redoing antique wood furniture, making it look beautiful again. He is survived by his wife, Patty of the home; two sisters, Merlene Raleigh and Beverly (Dale) Bennett; three nephews whom he loved to fish with from toddlers to present; brother-in-law, Bill Parmenter and wife Marge; many Parmenter family nephews and nieces; as well as a host of friends.
