She was born on July 30, 1921 in Czechoslovakia, the youngest of the four children of Frank and Elisabeth Schoeppl. On July 30 she celebrated her 96th birthday at Texas County Memorial Hospital with all her friends.
Paula moved from Czechoslovakia to Germany and then to Azusa, California, leaving her parents and siblings and was never able to go back to Germany to visit them. She became a United States citizen on January 6, 1961 at the District Court of the United States at Los Angeles, California. She then moved to Cabool, Missouri, where she was united in marriage to Everett Frazier and worked at the Brown Shoe factory for many years. After Everett’s passing in 1987 she was united in marriage to William Kozanecki.
Paula became a Christian at an early age in her life by accepting God as her personal Savior. She had a great love of animals, especially her many cats; they were her children. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, vegetable gardening and her many flower gardens. Paula also enjoyed her outings with friends for lunch or just having a conversation over a “cup of tea.”
Paula had many friends who will miss and remember her until they all meet again in Heaven.
At Paula’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Interment was in Houston Rural Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
