She was born on March 3, 1933 in Malvern, Iowa, the daughter of James and Esther (Davis) Campbell. She was a retired nursing assistant and a homemaker.
Mae married Clark Godsy in July 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma. They were longtime residents of Willow Springs until 2002 when they moved to Stotts City.
May was preceded in death her husband, Clark, in December 2008; six brothers, William “Punk” Campbell, Gerald “Jerry” Campbell, James “Jim” Campbell, Paul “Dale” Campbell, Lloyd “Gene” Campbell and George “Sunny” Campbell; two sisters, Sharlene Nichols and Connie Dobyns; and infant twin daughters.
She is survived by eight sons and three daughters, Raymond Godsy and wife Sheila of Aurora, Missouri, Paul Severson of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Jim Severson of Portland, Oregon, Rick Severson of Idaho, Linda Hoyt of Washington, JoAnn Aguilar of Arizona, DeWayne Godsy of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Joe Godsy and wife Tammy of Vida, Oregon, John Godsy and wife Bev of Woodburn, Oregon, David Godsy and wife Debbie of Sprague River, Oregon, and Mary Smith and husband, Terry of Rancho Cucamonga, California; a large extended family of grand, great- and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at the funeral chapel. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. at Nease Cemetery near Willow Springs under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.
