As a child, Jeannette went to many churches and over the years she went to many kinds of churches. She always said, “Church is church, just pray and believe in God and you will be ok.” She had a great love for animals; she always had a dog until her health didn’t allow her to care for them.
Jeannette graduated from Mtn. Grove High School with the class of 1958. She lived a full, colorfully diverse life. Among some of her occupations were being involved in farming, driving a school bus for Mtn. Grove and Cabool schools, and a homemaker.
In her earlier years, Jeannette was blessed with two children, Robin and Ron.
Jeannette married her soulmate, Charles Miller on December 12, 1975. Charley had three children and Jeannette had two; they raised her daughter and his two sons on a farm south of Cabool. They moved to Springfield, Missouri, after the children were raised and then to West Palm Beach, Florida, for ten years. Charley enjoyed this very much because it was always warm there. They then returned to Missouri.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Charley; two stepsons, Frank Miller in July of 2011 and Mark Miller in February of 2010; three brothers-in-law, Raymond Miller, Gary Miller and Russell Hemphill; and a cousin, June Hall.
She is survived by her children, Robin Dee Todd of Mtn. Grove and Roland Dean Cawthron of Mtn. Grove; stepdaughter, Cheryl Altis and husband David of Forsyth; two grandchildren, Sabrina Todd and fiancé Derrek Honeycutt of Mtn. Grove and Cole Cawthron and wife Lacey of Jacksonville, Florida; step grandchildren, Michelle Altis and Katherine Altis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Sandra Magee of Marshfield, Missouri, Christina Dadney and husband Terry of Marshfield, Ashley Pfatenhauer and husband Chris of St. George, Utah, Amanda Loyd and husband Kalin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Franklin Mathew Miller and wife Amanda of Rogersville, Missouri, Michelle Bastow and husband Chris of Halfway, Missouri, and Joshua Miller of Ozark, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Spencer Honeycutt and Everett and Waylon Cawthron; fourteen step great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Hemphill of the Kansas City, Missouri area and Madeline Miller of Cabool; as well as many other family members and friends.
Jeannette loved her children and step children with all her heart, as well as her grandchildren, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Cabool Cemetery with David Carroll officiating. Pallbearers were Danny Woods, Wes Woods, Bill Altis, Allan Meredith, Michelle Altis and Michelle Bastow.
