Delbert Kirk Rust

Delbert Kirk Rust, 58, Fordland, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born March 31, 1959 in Cabool, Missouri, the son of the late Delbert and Louise (Hutsell) Rust. He was united in marriage on June 11, 1999 in Springfield, Missouri, to Lori Warner.

He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Bertha Rust, and maternal grandparents, Elmer and Anna Hutsell.

Kirk worked at Dairy Farmers of America for over 38 years.

He was baptized at a young age at First Baptist Church Cabool and was a member of Higher Vision Church in Rogersville, Missouri. He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and enjoyed competitive barbecuing on the “Rusty Pig Team.” He was a loving husband, father and paw-paw, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His greatest hobby in life was spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Lori; two sons, Jason Rust and wife Wendy and Tyler Rust and wife Amber; two stepdaughters, Lindsey Matney and husband Nathan and Ashley Hensley and husband Nathan; a stepson, Justin Essary; a brother, Kent Rust and wife Tina; his stepmother, Jean Rust; a stepbrother, D.J. Wright and wife Michelle; two stepsisters, Rachel Judd and husband Rick and Kelly Speciale and husband Joe; twenty grandchildren, Evan, Claire, Sophie, Jude, Nolan, Lily, Kason, Annabelle, Emery, Simon, Abigail, Carson, Keaton, Randy, Riley, Preston, Callie, Hadley, and twin girls arriving in May; his in-laws, Gary and Sue Warner; three aunts, Nina, June, and Beulah; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, with services following at 1:00 p.m. at Higher Vision Church, 335 Power Line Road, Rogersville, under the care of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Burial followed in Cabool Cemetery.
