Selma Harriet Primanzon

Selma Harriet Primanzon, 76, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on March 18, 2018 after a long battle with heart disease.

Selma was born on September 5, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, but grew up in Manhattan, New York. While living in New York she met Gerald Primanzon and married him on February 4, 1967. In the early seventies they moved to Bridgewater, New Jersey, where they raised three sons, Michael, Alan, and David. In 1990 they moved to Plano, Texas, and eventually down to San Antonio, Texas, where they lived until Gerald’s passing in 2006. Selma then moved to Cabool, Missouri, to be closer to her family.

Selma had a great sense of humor. People who knew her would often comment about how she could make them laugh with the unpredictable nature of many of her comments. Selma greatly enjoyed all of her grandchildren and could be often seen at their sporting events or concerts.

Selma had battled heart disease since her mid-forties. In the last few years of her life, she had moved into Kabul Nursing Home. You could often listen to the nursing home staff tell tales about some of the numerous stories and comments she would tell them.

Selma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna; her sister, Jeanne; and her loving husband of 39 years, Gerald.

She is survived by her sons, Michael and Jessica Primanzon of Potomac Falls, Virginia, Alan and Christy Primanzon of Cabool, Missouri, and David and Gena Primanzon of Ozark, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Cameron and Kenzie Primanzon of Cabool, Connor and Olivia Primanzon of Potomac Falls, Virginia, Tristan Primanzon of Ozark, Breanna and Christian Skinner of Kansas City, Missouri, Justin Amarillas of Ozark, Julia Perales of Ozark and Noah Perales of Ozark; as well as many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, with services following at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Jeff Randleman officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in San Antonio, Texas, under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
