Kathryn Charmaine (DeWitt) Martin

Kathryn Charmaine (DeWitt) Martin, daughter of the late Clise DeWitt and Jewell (Stark) DeWitt, was born December 26, 1952 in Houston, Missouri, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2018. She was 65 years and four months of age.

Kathy was united in marriage to Kenny Lee Martin on October 17, 1970 in Harrison, Arkansas. To this union two daughters were born: Carrie (Martin) Christeson and Terri (Martin) Wood.

Kathy had many occupations throughout her life, but her main focus and greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, sewing, making quilts, and telling people about her grandkids. Her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law considered her to be their sibling and she loved each one of them as such. She never knew a stranger and always had a smile and a hug for everyone. Kathy was saved and baptized at a young age and rededicated her life to Jesus on September 15, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny Martin; her two daughters, Carrie Christeson and husband Darrell and Terri Wood and husband Shane; and four grandchildren who were the light of her life, Nathan Christeson and fiancé Natalie, Michael Wood, Audra Wood, and Spencer Christeson. All are of Cabool, Missouri. Kathy is also survived by her two brothers, Elvis DeWitt and Lesa of Cabool and Eddie DeWitt and Linda of Norwood, Missouri; and one sister, Kaye Brewer and husband Eugene of Winona, Missouri; and a host of family and friends.
