Debbie (Evans) Sparks

Debbie (Evans) Sparks, 60, passed away May 20, 2018.

She was born February 3, 1958 in Kirkwood, Missouri, to Harold and Loretta (Yount) Robbins.

Debbie graduated from Cabool High School in Cabool, Missouri, married, and raised three children: Justin, Matthew, and Donita. In 2004 Debbie married Doug Sparks and shortly after they embarked on a ten-year RV-ing adventure before moving to Ozark, Missouri, in 2016. In January 2017, Debbie was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer culminating in her peaceful death surrounded by her family in her home.

Debbie’s legacy will be that she loved the Lord deeply and lived her life to bring honor to her heavenly Father. There is a verse in the Bible (her favorite book) that sums up her family’s memories of her: “We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:3.) Debbie lived a life of simple obedience to God’s Word. She honored the Lord daily by the thoughtful ways she loved the people around her. She was a faithful servant and great is her reward in heaven.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, her father, and a son, Justin Evans.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Sparks and his children and grandchildren; her son, Matt Evans, wife Betsey, and their children Flinton and Peyton of Rogersville, Missouri; her daughter, Donita Evans of Springfield, Missouri; her brother, Lea Robbins and wife Nancy of Lewiston, Idaho; her sister, Bonnie Mitchell and husband Steve of Cabool, Missouri. Debbie will be missed by many other loving family members and dear friends near and far.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to On Time Ministry, P.O. Box 584, Willow Springs, MO 65793 or to any charity of your choice.
