Eleanor Fayenne Churchill Howell Clarke, 88, of Lincoln, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in Lincoln.
She was born December 12, 1929, in Bloomington, Nebraska, to Orville and Eleanor Brown Churchill.
Those left to celebrate her life include sons, Richard (Quinnetta) Howell of Cabool, Missouri, Don (Deb) Howell of Lincoln, Kansas, and Mark (Renee) Howell of Grey, Georgia; sisters, Jonquil Volk of Bloomington, Nebraska, and Sharon Greenwood of Superior, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Howell and Paul Clarke; infant daughter, Virginia Fayenne Howell; brother, Loren Churchill; and sisters, Vennette McCain and Ione Greenwood.
Eleanor grew up around the Bloomington area and attended school until the tenth grade. She married Robert Howell on October 12, 1947. To this union three boys were born and a stillborn baby girl, Virginia Fayenne. Eleanor and Robert lived on a farm outside of Bloomington until moving to Missouri in 1964. They lived there and celebrated 51 years of marriage until Robert passed away in 1999. Later, she then married Paul Clarke. He passed away in 2005. That same year Eleanor entered Lincoln Park Manor.
Eleanor spent her life as a devoted homemaker. She raised her three boys and worked along side her husband Robert on the farm. She loved to cook and bake. Her love for the Lord was evident in her everyday life. She had attended the Nazarene and Wesleyan churches.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 31, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska, with Reverend Scott Randall officiating.
